Promise+Plus Logo

The Promise+Plus Program is a combination of financial and support services to help first-time, college students be successful in their first two years of college. The program is for California Residents/AB540 eligible, first-time college students, that have never attended college (excluding Dual/Concurrent enrollment, Special Admit). Interested students must start their college experience at Mt. SAC in the Summer term through either the Summer Bridge or STEP Into College program. Eligible summer program students that complete the participation requirements, will start receiving benefits in their first Fall semester. For more information contact us at, (909) 274-5688.

Free Promise+Plus Benefits for first time college students

    • ONE YEAR of Early Registration


      • Early Registration for Fall, Winter, and Spring semester of the first year of college
    •  Workshops & Counseling

      For continued term to term benefits, students must meet with a counselor and attend a minimum of one Promise+Plus Approved Workshop during the Fall & Spring Semesters. Workshops are provided to help you successfully navigate through college. We also have Promise+Plus counselors to help you develop and stay on-track to reach your academic goals. Currently in a student support program such as Bridge, EOPS, Honors, or DREAM? Counseling appointments within these programs count towards meeting the counseling appointment requirement.

    • FREE $300 Book Grant

      FREE BOOK Grant (Fall & Spring)

      • Full-time students taking 12+ units receive a $300 book grant 
      • Part-time students with 6-11.5 units get a $150 book grant
    • FREE $200 Supermarket Food Card


      • $200 supermarket food card for full-time students taking 12+ units
      • $100 supermarket food card for part-time students with 6-11.5 units 
    • FREE $200 On-Campus Food Card

      FREE ON-CAMPUS FOOD CARD (Fall & Spring)

      FREE FROM MANDATORY FEES (Fall & Spring)

      • Mandatory fees include: health services, bus pass, student representation, and Associated Student activities (approximately $50 each Fall and Spring semester, tuition not included)
    • FREE Bus Pass 24/7 on Foothill Transit lines


      • Get a ride on Foothill Transit lines for free with our Class Pass program. 
      • Use any Foothill Transit line 24/7 
      • Pick up the Bus Pass at the start of each Fall and Spring at the Sac Book Rac
        • If you have a current Mt. SAC ID and Class Pass/TAP sticker, it will automatically be reloaded for Fall as long as you are enrolled. If you never got your ID and Class Pass/TAP sticker, visit the Mt. SAC Bookstore.
